You can also go to your local home improvement store (Lowes, Home Depot) and get aluminum flashing. It is found in the roofing department. It comes in big rolls but you can easily cut it with tin snips. It is very inexpensive for the number of cutters you will get from it. HTH

Thanks for adding this. Aluminium doesn't rust, yes? I will have to look for it. What I loved about the CC kit is that it came with a little widget that I find oh-so helpful.

None of mine have rusted, but they are washed and dried quickly so there really is no chance for that. Here's my question (stupid as it may be!!0 what is a "widget"? LOL

Not at all. My word for a gadget, in economics classes it was the imaginary product we sold with our pretend companies. The one that Foose sells is a piece of wood with holes in it. Has a circle and a piece of plastic that looks like an "L" or right triangle. You insert the pieces (circle or triangle) into the wood in order to bend curves or corners into your cookie cutters. You lay down your pattern and follow along. Bending against the plastic in the widget to get your shape. Does this make any sense? It's really hard to try and write it. If you saw it you'd know immediately what I was talking about. I have so much respect for people who write how-to manuals.

I totally get it and definitely see how useful it would be. My DH makes all my cookie cutters for me...so I guess you could call him a widget too! LOL!!!

I'm sure he's a wonderful widget! The day I finally figure out how to shrink pictures, I will post it. I'll bet it can be easily duplicated.
