Help! Baby Shower Approaching And No Venue?

OK, I live in TX, my best friend is having a baby in VA. Her husband, I, and another friend are planning her shower for Dec.9th. She doesn't know that I'm going to be there, nor does she know when her shower will be (surprise). Her husband was supposed to be taking care of the location, it was supposed to be at a party room where they live. The lady he scheduled it through is now saying she made a mistake and the room isn't available that day. There is supposed to be 60 people there, and I'm totally stressing because we have no where to do it now. We cannot change the date because I have already bought my non-refundable airline tickets. Any suggestions? Thanks for listening. 
What about a Knights of Colombus, Lions Club or other smaller hall like that? Around here they rent the spaces out for events.
Or can the lady that made the mistake find a place for you since it was her that messed it all up? Maybe the place they live (sounds like a apartment or condo complex - also owns other areas nearby with a party room?

You could do something old fashioned like having it at her home or someone else's. The numbers suggest only 20 will come anyways.
