Good morning everyone.
I would like to get a head start on Christmas cookies and have a question about freezing. What I want to do is make the dough kind of like the store bought dough, where it's rolled up and all you have to do is slice it. Has anyone done this? Does it work well, and how do you do it?
Thanks icon_smile.gif

I have frozen cookie dough and I think it is fine. Just let it defrost in the fridge until ready. Ihave never noticed anything wrong with the dough.

Is it Christmas cookie time already? I just got finished with the fall fest and halloween. wow!

Just roll your dough into a log wrap it very well in plastic wrap then in foil and put it in the freezer when ready defrost in the fridge then you can slice and bake

Yes, you're cookie dough will be fine. I freeze cookie dough all the time. I make my chocolate chip, and snicker doodle dough and pre scoop them and then put them in freezer bags. When I want a couple of cookies I pop a few into the oven and have fresh cookies! The cookie dough in a roll will work great too! They'll slice wonderfully when frozen and then you can place them on your cookie sheet while your oven is preheating and pop them in!
