I was going to try to coat them with a combination of powdered sugar and cinnamon. Does anyone have suggestions or answers to my ?? Thanks for your help thumbs_up.gif

Umm. There was a question there? Your plan sounds yummy, but you didn't ask any questions.

They definitely freeze well. Just be sure to get as much air out of the package as possible to avoid freezer burn. And you'll probably have to re-roll the balls in your powder mixture when they thaw. But they'll still be yummy!

Oh, great idea. I was thinking of the same combo but with white chocolate, I think the sugar combo sounds much better!! Good thinking! thumbs_up.gif

I read here on CC, you dip them in choc after you take them out of the freezer and you could do it while they are frozen. I dipped some I had taken out of the freezer this weekend. They set faster because they have been frozen.

i know...i do that too...but was wondering if I could freeze them AFTER I dip them in chocolate so that I could start making them now and still be fresh enough to give out on Christmas....

I tried to get ahead of the game and freeze my cake balls after dipping them. It didn't work. They sweated and cracked and even changed color a little. Darn!!

thanks phyllis....guess I'll just have to save the "dipping" part until closer to xmas!!! Least I can get a jump on the 'rolling' of them!!
