would you dowel and use a cake board for a tiered 8 inch and 6 inch torted cake with strawberry filling?? I'd like to say no because the 6 inch is so little, but I don't really have experience with it!

Well...if you plan to move it..anywhere...I would just to be sure. If you are going to leave it where you make it, or just move to another room you can not use the dowel, but I would say use the board in between the layers for sure.
