I would like to do a cake with those toppings supporting stars or balloons or letters, etc... but was wondering what is the metal supports which are being used, and where does one find it ?

If it's something that is at Michaels, or a Wilton product, does anyone know a good substitute... like from a hardware store ?

Thanks for any advice !
