I've been asked to make a cake shaped like someone's fav beer can. I've bought the luster dust to make my buttercream frosting look metallic but not quite sure how to mix it and paint it on the frosting?? Any ideas?

Are you putting it on buttercream or fondant?? I think someone has addressed the BC/luster dust thing before, but I have never tried it. If you're putting it on fondant, mix it with some lemon extract or vodka and paint it on with a brush till you get the desired effect.

I'm putting it on buttercream. I think I still mix luster dust w/Vodka and be sure to let buttercream crust over. Thanks for your help on this!
