Does anyone have a good recipe for edible varnish that will store nicely. I used one recipe that worked nicely but when I went to store what was left it got moldy. The recipe said not to put it in the refrigerator. Any advice this recipe used gelatin, water and glucose. Thanks

you could try this

3parts alcohol - 2 parts corn syrup

I don't know what the shelf life is like as always seem to use it quickly.....but having the alcohol in it might help it store longer

ummm just something I can mention here. Use grain alcohols like vodka or gin or everclear not rubbing alcohol which is poisonous.

What you do use edible varnish for? It sounds interesting. icon_smile.gif
