i went to a wedding that served a cake made from a sponge cake with whippend cream and it had some sort of see through glaze on top. does anyone know what that could be? could it be syrup with gelatine?

Maybe a light poured fondant? Or a simple sugar glaze?

i don't know is the recipe of the mirror glaze, but here in pr you can find it in bakery supplies stores.

please i really want to know what glaze was use because it made the cake realy shiny and smooth. does anyone know what a mirror glaze is?
