I was wondering if anyone has one of the sunbeam mixers that are similar to the Kitchen Aid. I saw one on the walmart website, just curious if any of you have liked it. Thanks in advance

I have one, (heritage series) and I like it. I have only had it about 2 months, but have mixed everything from royal icing to mmf and no problems.

I've been thinking about one of the heritage series ones too. Just FYI they are on sale at Walmart (at least the one near me) for I think $98 right now!

I have one of the More expensive Sunbeam Mixers, that My husband bought at Kohls last year. Be aware that there are 2 different Models. Mine is a 450, but I'm pretty sure the one at Walmart is only 350. They also come with different bowls and attachments.
The regular price at Kohls for the 450 watt is $149.00, but It is on sale right now for 119.00.
I just love mine, and have NEVER had a problem with it. I make triple batches of buttercream atleast twice a week with it. Can't imagine life without it!

I JUST BROUGHT BACK A KITCHENAID, I WAS MIXING MMF AND IT WAS HAVING TROUBLE. IF YOU GO TO A BIGGER MODEL THE HEAD DOES NOT TILT. I THINK I WILL TRY THE SUNBEAN IT IS 450 WATT AND THE HEAD TILTS, IT'S ON SALE RIGHT NOW AT KOHL'S FOR 119.00 THE OTHER THING ABOUT A KITCHENAID IS IT ON HAS THE SINGLE BEATERS. I DIDN'T THINK THAT IT MIXED MY ICING VERY WELL EVEN THOUGH I ADJUSTED IT.

I've had a sunbeam for about 4 years, now and I like it. It's the rotating bowl kind, and sometimes it will spin out of control with thick batter, but I learned pretty quick how to work it. My sister is letting me borrow her KA and I use them both interchangeably.

I was @ walmart yesterday and doing comparisons between the Sunbeam Heritage & the Kitchen Aid and the Sunbeam was $100.00 less and the Sunbeam was more powerful! (go figure) The KA was running a 250 motor & the Sunbeam was 350 motor. We're planning on getting the Sunbeam. I particularly like the red color one. LOL Now if only I could get cool flames painted on it like Alton Brown!! icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

My gramma and aunt use Sunbeam. I use KA. Either is good, but I prefer KA.

I have both....the only thing I really didn't like about the sunbeam is that it doesn't have a paddle.
