Wasn't it awesome? I am amazed at the amount of weight that some of the contestants lost, especially the 62 year old grandfather. I would love to lose 31 pounds! My sister and I are doing the at home version. This should be pretty interesting and fun.

I just love the Biggest Loser. Did you see the look on Bob's face when old grandpa got on the scales!!! 31 pounds of my word.

I was so happy that Amber (??) not sure if that was her name. Got voted off. What a little cry baby..although I have to say. When they showed her at the end of the show, she lost 60 (?) pounds and she looked great.

I love that show!!! I didn't see the whole show. From what I saw yeah Amber probably didn't need to be there because she didn't act like her whole heart was in it. It was really neat to see how much weight she had lost!!!

Amber wasn't ready to lose her weight. I truly believe that you need to be ready to lose the weight when you get on a program. And if she had stayed, I guess we would've had another Wamber like in BB8 icon_lol.gif But I'm happy for her that she lost 60 pounds. Maybe getting kicked off felt like a kick in the butt for her and FINALLY got decided to lose the weight.
I'm amazed of grandpa's weight loss! I was so cheering him up. DH didn't beleive that this man could be losing weight with all those young people, his jaw dropped when he saw the results!
I'm also very happy about the third team. It so sad when they have to "select" the players, and some are left behind.... Can't wait for next week...

I'm on Richard Simmons' foodmover program,I'll post a picture of my "before" pic, and after the Biggest loser season I'll post an "after" pic. Anyone else wants to join me with the pictures thing?

I wish they would replay the first show because I didn't get to see how it all started. I take it they picked teams or teams where chosen for them. I would have loved to see it!!!!

dslent,

Go to NBC.com, there is a whole bunch of information there. I was thinking to myself.

I have a question, was the first weigh in, after they had been working out for one week. If so how can someone who is 62 years old lose 31 pounds in a week.

Man if I could do that I would almost be 1/2 way to my goal.

Pootchi, I don't know about the picture thing? Me and the camera, don't see eye to eye.

They raced to the trainers and the first one there on each side was the captain and they picked the teams from there.

NBC might have a webcast of the show for those who didnt see it. I dont know though.

Sorry, I guess I should have said "My Home Version". I found a Biggest Loser magazine with tips for food and exercise. The recipes look delicious thoughout the book. So good that I may have to buy the cookbook! They teach that it is all about a lifestyle change and not a diet. They also use a food pyramid 4-3-2-1 - (4) servings of fruits and veggies, (3) servings of protein, (2) servings of whole grains, and (1) would be fats, oils, spreads, condiments and such. There is a lot of info in the little magazine.
