Does anyone have a recipe for a white chocolate cake? Not one with WC as filling or frosting, but actually in the cake itself. I have been thinking of experimenting with adding some melted to vanilla batter, but I haven't had any time to spare. Has anyone tried adding melted WC to cake batter??

Hi kats, and welcome to CC!

I do have a white chocolate cake that I use all the time; in fact, I baked a layer with it last night. I am working now, so don't have the recipe handy, but if I get time tonight, I will try to post it for you or PM you with it. If you don't hear from me, please send me a PM and remind me that I promised this to you. icon_smile.gif

Just for something quick and easy you can also add white chocolate pudding to your batter. It tastes really good!

I have added the melted WC candy melts to my white cake batter and it worked wonderfully. I used the Darn Good Chocolate recipe only substituted White cake mix, WC pudding, WC chips and then melted down about 1/2 cup WC candy melts and beat those in too. First time I actually got a White Chocolate flavor in the cake. icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

When you just add the pudding mix, do you change any of the other ingredients, or do you just follow the recipe on the cake mix box?

TIA!

Hi Dana!! Add the ingredients called for on the box (except I use milk instead of water), a extra egg and instant pudding mix.

Hope that helps thumbs_up.gif ~Denise

Here's the recipe I've been using. I think it may have come from the Chocolate from the Cake Mix Doctor book (but I'm not entirely sure). Hope you enjoy it as much as my family and Clients do!

I made this recipe last week as a trial for my wife's graduation cake I'll be making in December.

My wife said it was better than any bakery cake she's ever had, and my children devoured it icon_biggrin.gif .

I'm in San Antonio,TX and we have a store called HEB Central Market. It's kind of a gourmet grocery store and they sell all sorts of neat products. Try local gourmet stores.
