Help Pleasezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Vegetarian vs Vegan Cakes not sure of the difference.

But, I need to get my hands on a recipes for a cake without eggs or dairy cake, my friend is vegan. She's going to have a womens day function for the church, never gets to really enjoy the fellowship part of the function because everything has dairy or some type of meat in it (she waits to go home to eat) icon_cry.gif . I would like to make a vegan cake that taste just like a cake that has no eggs or dairy in it. I tryed using a product called egg replacer. Didn't work for me, tast wise I mean. Can you guys help me out. Thank you times infinity, I would greatly appreciate it.

Here are some recipes from the Vegan Society. I haven't tried them myself but have them on hand for those just-in-case clients.

Good luck. Can you let me know how they go? I have a friend who is allergic to eggs and milk. I just found this web site and don't have time to try one out.

Look up the crazy cake recipe on this website. It's egg and dairy free, and it's hands-down the easiest and best tasting chocolate cake recipe I've ever used. You can easily adapt the recipe to be any flavor you want.

I'd personally be a little careful when dreaming up vegan cake flavours, I've had little luck outside of orange, lemon, coffee, carrot and chocolate flavour. These always taste great because there is a strong flavour, but for a plain cake you will never be able to replace the flavour of butter and eggs (from plently of past experience!).

Edited to add: The chocolate cake recipe on the previously mentioned site is fantastic!
