I ran across this and thought that I would share it. It is too beautiful for words.

I hope everyone remember this day and gives thanks for you family.

Every life that was lost that day was a person who was loved by someone.
My thoughts often go to Heather Ho. She was a 32 year old pastry chef at Windows On The World restaurant in the north tower of the world trade center. She was born in Hawaii but trained in my Bay Area as a pastry chef. Her dream was to open her own restaurant in New York. Here is a bit about her and one of her signature recipes.

This is from a song called Christmas In NY by a NY Irish band called Shillelagh Law:

......"And Bless New York's Finest, our 'Angels in Blue'. Giving us
hope and helping us through.
.......And Bless New York's Bravest, the FDNY. Giving their sweat and
their tears and their lives.
.......And Bless all the medics and our troops overseas.

.......Bless the guys in the hard-hats removing debris.
.......Bless the everyday people who answered the call.
.......Bless those who gave some and those who gave all.
.......And Bless all the people who left us this year. You may gone
but you'll always be here. Singing and dancing with family and
friends....."

I'll never ever forget what I was doing that day...at the time I was smoking a cigerrette (I quit btw)...when it came on the tv I dropped my lit cig on my lap and it burnt a hole in my thigh and I didn't even feel it....my whole response was "This is it!! The END of the world" and I went and grabbed my keys....my instinct was to go grab my child from school and hug him like he had never been hugged before! I cried so hard for the families and the victims for days....and I still cry....for the families..as the victims are in a MUCH better place now. God bless all that this has affected....

I had Tivo'd the Oprah special on the children of 9-11 and I bawled through the whole thing. I started having panic attacks and anxiety after 9-11 (which was strange because I live in the midwest and didnt know anyone personally affected)..... it will always be on my mind and in my memories.

God bless those who were lost and those who are left with a hole in their hearts since they have been. God bless our troops and our country.
