My daughter's sixth grade class are writing children's stories for a class project and they are having a publishing party. She wants me to make a cake for it, any ideas?

cupcakes w/ little books on top, each w/ title and name of student

I'm with Doug - I immediately thought of an open-book with the kids names in it ...

Cupcakes with a pencil or I love stacked book cakes!

I agree with the open book idea or even the stacked books.

You could make the stacked books a little off center each moving a different way like children would have stacked them messily lol.

I myself would probably do the open book... the two mix book pan would work great for it and would feed everyone without a problem icon_wink.gif

You could do a table of contents page and list all the stories the children have written with their names as authors, or if that's too complex you could do the title of the book and then something like

TITLE HERE
A Compilation of Stories written by Mrs. Blanks 6th Grade Class 2006.

Hopefully some one will come up with a catchier phrase lol
