that realy depends on the size you want them to be. are they a 2D or a 3D dice? If they are 3D just choose your size of square (ex. 8 or 9 in
)
then stack to the same height so it is a cube shape. Thats my 2 cents. HTH thumbs_up.gif

I just used the 8 inch square pan this last Tuesday. I made a red die with with white dots. I wish I had a camera working so I could have taken a picture of the cake. I used three layers. I have heard people using the 4.5 square pans if you can find one. I could not find one so I used the 8 square one. The lady loved it!

Hmm not sure. I will call a friend of mine who plays every month. I will let you know as soon as I get ahold of her. Hopefully someone responds quicker than I can though....

I've made 2 dice cakes and used the 6" square pan for each. If you torte the 2 layers, the cake comes out a little taller and makes it look more like a cube. the 6" square works perfect for this cake.

Here is a photo of the first dice cake that I did. It was a looooong time ago and before I had a digital camera, so the quality doesn't look that good. Anyway, you can get an idea of how the 6" square looks.

Something else, this cake was for a 21st birthday, hence the 2 and 1 on the top of the dice. Just my little quirky touch. Sure wish I had a better photo of the one I did not long ago.

Each die is just a 2 layer cake. These aren't torted, but you could do that as well to add a little bit of height to them. This cake was done within the first year that I started decorating and I didn't have all the knowledge that I've learned here back then.

I have made a couple of bunco cakes. One is 4 8" square cakes stacked and iced with a star tip. The other just has a pair of dice on top of a round cake 8".

If you don't need a lot of cake you could make one 8" square and cut it in fourths and make (2) 4x4 dice.

When I did my dice, I used a ten inch cake, cut it into four squares, torted and stacked. I did trim them to make them a little smaller.

I just recently made a pair of dice. ( in my gallery) I used the 6" square pan. Each cake was 2 1/2 layers of cake. Two layers were torted to try to get extra height but I thought they were still to short so I added the extra 1/2 layer on each cake.

You use 3 dice to play the game of Bunco. I just took dice (and crown) cookies to my bunco last night!

I quickly threw together a dice cake once for my brother in law and made a square box (dice) shape. Frosted in white icing and used oreo cookie half's for the dots. I hate making black icing. Good luck.
