All my cakes have been for friends and aquaintances and they don;t seem to care if the cake is in a shoe/winebox or a rubbermaid tub. However, I trying to span out and I'm not sure what or where to get larger (tall) boxes that look ok. My local A.C.Moore only has a large sheetcake box.... can I get them online??? Or other ideas?

Do you have a Joanns, Michaels or Hobby Lobby they all carry them but I have seen them online just do a search under cake decorating supplies.

If you want to buy boxes in bulk, try the web site below. They have a big selection of sizes and types. The 12X12x5 (good all purpose size for round cakes) is $44 for a case of 100. They also carry sheet cake boxes.

I'm pretty sure the boxes come plain. Southern Champion makes both the pink and the white boxes. Some of the pictures show logos because I think you can have your company logo printed on them as an option. You should email their customer service just to be certain.

I am planning on ordering these boxes so I will have them on hand all the time. I really get tired of running out to the cake store and paying a couple of bucks per box every time.

I know that you can also purchase boxes as well as other baking supplies from Sam's Club. You can buy those clear containers that have the lids that snap down in cases of 100 or so for pretty cheap. I know that they sell them in rounds, 1/4, 1/2 and full sheet. Just so you know, Sam's bakery will sell anything they use to the public in bulk quantities which is great for cake boards, non-dairy whipped icing, etc.

I have a JoAnns but their cake bakery section is very small.

I looked up both links and they have great stuff! I'm especially excited about being able to put a logo on the boxes,..... now I just have to come up with one. icon_lol.gif

The BEST place online I've found to order from is www.brpboxshop.com because mthey do not charge S/H!

I buy from Sam's Club in my hometown too.

It's so expensive to buy from my Hobby Lobby! I've reduced my cost on 1/4 sheet boxes from $1.47 to 50 cents.

I would be very carefu when ordering from INSTAWARES. They charged my credit card and never sent me the product. It took months to get the situation cleared up (I had to use the Attorney General, they informed me that there were many complaints on file). I use ULINE, I but cake boards and boxes from them.

You know I see this box subject everyday and what I want to know is where the heck do you guys store 100 boxes, all the same size? I dont make the same size cake everytime so its kindof pointless for me to buy such bulk.
Or do you get together and split the charge and the loot?

I used Instawares once. Their prices are great, but the shipping is alot -unless you spend the miniumum, then it's free. I just ordered from Uline at the suggestion of someone on another post -the shipping charges were reasonable and the delivery time was great. The prices are a little more than Instawares, but worth it.
I bought a case of 50 half sheet boards , 1 case of 50 pinstriped half sheet boxes with a window and including shipping and tax it was $89.

I can believe that, short of storing things in my bathroom I have stuff everywhere in my less than 800sqft house!
The only good thing is that it keeps me from buying too much for lack of a place to keep it. icon_cool.gif

Olana 11 I don't know how close you are to Philadelphia, but we have a store here called Penn Jersey. They sell cake boxes(card board and plastic), cake circles(gold and white) and fruit fillings. They sell their products in singles or in bulk. They have a website, but I not sure of the address.

Hmm, I visit Philly several times a year. I may have to make that a stop icon_biggrin.gif .

I AM wondering though, where would I get big, tall boxes from? A lot of my cakes are quite vertical(if they come out right anyway)

I buy the pink cake boxes from PaperMart. They are a couple of dollars more than InstaMart but from what I am reading that is not a bad thing. I am really stuck on the pink boxes. My customers say they know there is something special when it comes in a pink box.

Nichi--I store my boxes under my sofa and loveseat in my livingroom, some people also store them under beds.
