I have seen discussions about the Lorann oils/flavorings lately and I have a couple of questions.
Do you use these in cakes and icings instead of vanilla?
and
If you do use these in cakes and icings, how much of these do you use?
Thank you for any information on using these flavors.

I use these flavors all the time in icings etc..You can buy a dropper with the flavors and I use a couple of drops at a time for icings.I just keep tasting until I like the flavor.

Where do you find these flavorings? I have looked in the stores and have found McCormick flavors...are these the same?

Here's the website:

http://www.lorannoils.com/homepage_consumers.htm

However, you can purchase the oils at some bakery/decorating supply stores, some Walmarts and online.

I'm with Kiddiecakes. I add a drop (literally) here and there until I achieve the flavor that I like. I keep tasting and adding until it's just right. I buy from www.countrykitchensa.com pretty much weekly, and they have the LorAnn oils. Their customer service is amazing, too!!!

The local Hobby Lobby by me sells a <limited> selection of small bottles Lorann oils, in the cake decorating aisle. Maybe Try there?

Walmart is also selling them now as well. They are very strong so you don't need to use a whole lot to flavor, just taste as you go.
