so i'm not so much in need of an idea, cause i've pretty much got the concept of what i want to do down. what i'm needing help in is size. i'm wanting to do a tombstone cake for a family friend's 55 birthday next month that will have a slot machine pull for the date of death (it will have his birthday written but on the part for the year he "died" it will have a slot machine look so you never know it's a gamble....get it, i hope). anyway there's going to be roughly 20-30 people there, i want the cake to be a standing tombstone so my question is how many layers will do to make it look proportionate w/o having to much cake. kinda in a crunch to get to class so if further clarification is needed just ask. thanks

chris

If you stack up at least 4 pieces of 9x13's cut in thirds to the height you want, with a half round on top, that will be enough servings. If you want to use the remaining cake, stack it up behind the tombstone and cover with stones and greenery.
