What are the actual measurements for a "standard" sheet cake? The full sheet. I know they are big but have no real idea of the size.

12" x 18" is full sheet I think.

I just called the local grocery store bakery and the answer I got was "I don't know but it feeds 52 to 56 people. Thanks for giving me measurements.

A "real" full sheet is 24 x 36. A half sheet is 12 x 18, though some use an 11 x 15 for it instead.

A full sheet cake should be 2 - 12x18's - which would be a 24 x 18. You can check the cake serving guide here on CC or Wilton to find out the servings sizes and amounts.

Suzy's got it. That's the standard size in the bakery biz.

There is a reason I'm from "Sheetcake County" -- I swear that's all that people know how to cut and serve!! icon_rolleyes.gif

They almost panic is I ask if they want a 2 layer cake!! icon_eek.gif

And don't even approach a local with the thought of a tiered cake for any besides a wedding! icon_surprised.gif
