Hey everyone!
I finished the Grave Digger cake I was working on and was wondering if you guys could look at it and let me know if you'd be happy with it. The mother originally wanted a sculpted Grave Digger cake but I really wasn't comfortable doing that. PLUS, she's getting this cake for almost nothing ($16.00 because of a discount I promised her... she works for my husband). I told her I'd come up with something good instead of the sculpted and she went with it. Well, this is what I came up.... let me know what you think. It's for a 15 y/o boy who is pretty immature but I thought the flames kind of made it a little more 'grown-up' if that makes any sense.

(Oops, too big to upload.... pictures are in 'my photos'. Sorry.) icon_smile.gif

Definitely! She should be really happy, especially for $16. The flames are cool, and must have taken you some time. I like it a lot, and I am sure she will too!

$16.00???!!! Did you give her 80% off? That's a great cake. Don't sell yourself so short! icon_confused.gificon_eek.gificon_surprised.gif

WOW! I really love it! Where did you get the pattern for the flames or did you draw it out yourself?

That frosting screams gooey caramel! OH YUMMMY!!!!! I love the tracks! Very creative!

i think its GREAT! They definitely got a bargain... th trucks themselves probbaly cost you $10! I would think $16 is what you spent on cake supplies for this one..... I love the flames... i normally dont like doing sheet cakes at all because they just look so ordinary BUT adding the flames takes away from the "sheetness"! It's a great cake... love the flames and the tracks.... very clever...
