Hi everyone!
I was wondering if anybody on CC watched Design Star? I know it is kind of late to ask considering the finale is on Wednesday night, but I thought I would throw it out there anyway. I like Kim better than Todd but I don't think that either of their shows will be nearly as popular as Color Splash. I wish Alice and David had been on seperate seasons so they both could have had a show, I was so torn about who to vote for last season!

Yes, I followed Design Star! I love Kim, I tried to go online last night and vote, but I guess that everybody was on it because I could never get it to pull up.
I feel the same way you do about David and Alice, I loved them BOTH and I would really like to see them working together! I can't remember who I voted for - I think I had voted for Alice, but I was torn between them also. I wonder what she is doing now. I thought that Alice and David would have made the cutest couple!!
So did I but Danielle does an awesome job as a cohost. My mom and I also voted for Alice and to answer your question she actually has a lttle section on the HGTV web site called Ask Alice now and who knows maybe one day she will ahve her own show. I think Todd is a genius but he can't pull his designs together when it comes to the details his designs fall short. Kim's designs are just gorgeous and that hotal suite was so amazing! I think it is a no brainer that she will win.
Can't wait til Wenesday!

I am hoping Kim wins- She is so nice and does the job extremely well! I was glad when Rob got voted off- he was such a jerk to her!
I know! I could not believe how he treated her! If that had been me I would have been so mad, but she had so much self control it was amazing that she did not yell at him once. My mom and I were soooooooo happy when he was voted off!

Thanks Deborah, I checked it out. Alice is just soo adorable.
I liked Todd's final design and I thought it was really cool, but my reasoning for voting for Kim is this: Although Todd has some really cool designs, (and if you think about it, you know it's true) his designs are something that you will tire of in the future, maybe 5 years or less. Just like the moving platform, it was a really neat design element, but if you ever wanted to re-decorate it would be a job to remove that thing. To me, Kim's designs are classic. Very clean and sophisticated. I don't think I would tire of her designs so quickly. I think there are enough of the "modern", "whimsical" design shows on HGTV, Candace on Divine Design does have some very sophicated designs too. I just like watching Kim. I loved how she really gave the coal miner and his family exactly what they wanted, even though it really didn't appeal that much to the judges, it fit the homeowner's perfectly. And I really do think that on those shows (Design Star), they SHOULD do their decorating challenges in people's homes like the coal miner, those who really can't afford to furnish their home. Not someone like Wayne Newton who can afford the universe! lol I just thought that was so unfair. Anyway, that's beside the point!
But, I sure do hope that Kim gets it! She is such a cutie, and looks like such a fun person! I'll be glued to the TV set Sunday night at 8:00!!

Definately agree there, and like I said he is genius but his designs don't come together just right, the details that make a design what it is just arn't there. If he were to have a show he would have to cohost with someone who could consentrate on the details while he did the features of the room.
