What Kind Of Filling For A Pumpkin Spice Cake?

I guess it depends on what kind of cake you are going for. If you would like a simpler flavor, then I'd suggest whipped cream, just to accent the pumpkin, like on pumpkin pie.
But if you want more of a decadent and rich flavor, then go with a cream cheese mixture, possibly with lemon extract.
I just made a pumpkin spice cake and used a basic bc; but i added 4 oz. of melted white chocolate, it was really delicious. Depending on your taste you could add some maple flavoring to a bc and go that way as well. Have fun with it, i just love pumpkin.

I did a pumkin spice cake and used the pumpkin roll filling and then iced it in pumpkin buttercream - boy was that yummy.
would love to get your recipes for the pumpkin buttercream. sounds delicious
