I've done more complex designs, but the simple sky background and fluffy clouds have got me stumped. I don't have air brush, cake will be the common size rectangular cake pan, whipped topping.

Comrades - need some ideas! What tip#, etc.?

how about not mixing the sky colour properly, so you get a streaky kind of look. Then for clouds a large bunch of rosettes piled on top of each other.

After I iced my cakes and they crusted, I took a paint brush and painted my sky in. I used the wilton blue and some vodka for the paint. For clouds I used a plain large round tip. I have a few examples of this in my photos. I hope this helps a little.

I made clouds with tip 12, just kind of puffing it up. It looked good. You can see my winnie the pooh cake in my photos.

I also just used a round tip, and piped in puffy clouds. (on my memorial service cake)
