Hi all! I am considering buying a cookie press to try spritz cookies for the holidays...any recommendations or advice before I run out and get one? Are the manual ones really hard to squeeze? I've heard the battery operated ones run through the batteries really quickly...? Are the Wilton ones any good? Any advice would be great!!! (or any recipes that are yummy!!)
Thanks in advance!!

My mom makes them all the time, she has one of the cheap Wilton ones and she loves it. My nephew (he's 3) helps her make them, he calls it a gun. icon_rolleyes.gif
She says it's so much better than the one she had when I was little, alot easier to let kids help and stuff.

Last summer they were at a yard sale and my dad found one of the old ones, bought it for her and told her she could give my younger sister the Wilton one. icon_confused.gificon_eek.gif Last I knew she was going to make him make cookies with it and see if he still thought it was so much better. icon_lol.gif

Cool. Do you know which Wilton one? I'm thinking that simpler might be better with something like this...

I was just looking at these, after getting the Wilton email. Thanks for posting! I want the answer, too.

She has the cheapest model they make I think, the one they sell at Walmart for around $10.

I've got the Wilton Cookie Max and I LOVE it. I'm sure it was a cheaper model - I got it as a gift. It has 12 different designs - hearts, christmas trees, wreaths, daisy, cross, what I call a 3 leaf clover and several others. I use the recipe it gives in the box and they are just delicious. I always get requests for more when I make these!

My favorite is the Deluxe Cookie Press. Brand is Baker's Advantage by Roshco. 20 Disks plus 6 Decorating Tips (that I've never used).

I had two for a while. The one mentioned above and the traditional metal style one. I found the Roshco one to be easier to opperate, just all around better for me anyway.

I have had good luck with Martha Stewart's recipe, I think it's simply called "cookie press cookies"
