I have seen some lovely looking cupckes in the gallery, lovely swirly buttercream....

I find buttercream very rich and was wondering what people generally use for this type of 'topping' do you flavour the butter cream? Or is it something other than buttercream?

you can use a whipped cream type of buttercream that's not as rich or sweet!

Thanks, have just done a search and their are so many!! Does anyone have a fvaourite?
Do the whipped frostings all have to refrigerated?
