I'm wanting to mold some people for a going-away cake for a good friend. Are the people molds, such as the one by Wilton, any good? Are they fairly easy to use with good results? Thinking also about purchasing Aine2's tutorial. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Ami,
I have the wilton people moulds and I had a huge problem using them to begin with..... I eventually made the fairy on the cake in my gallery (i know the face painting is rubbish) and I was pleased....

I do find that it takes a while to get the exact mix of fondant / gumpaste right.. I made about 15 befre i got one I was happy with... A few people on here told me they had struggled with tese moulds to, but I am going to persevere!!!

Anne

Thank you Anne, that's kind of what I was afriad of. There are 7 people in this family, so I was really worried about the difficulty of modeling so many.
