I made Toba Garrets butter cookie recipe and it's gooey. If I add more flower will it effect the taste?

TIA,
Kat

I had the same problem with that White Velvet Cutout Cookies recipe that was recently posted. It was way to soft and I wondered if accidentally didn't measure something correctly. No way could I have rolled it out. So I added an extra cup of flour. I baked a batch and didn't like them at all as they tasted way too floury! I'm not sure what I did wrong but I dumped the entire batch of dough in the trash. So..I would say that it might affect the taste. I do plan on giving the White Velvet Cutout Cookies another chance.

You might go ahead and add a little more flour and chill it. Doesn't hurt to try and save it at this point.

I did add flour and all though it worked, I didn't care for the taste of them after all. I just added the flour until it felt right. The cookies were too sweet for my taste.

Thank you though, icon_smile.gif
