Help With Carved Pumpkin Cake

so i am donating a a cake to my little brothers fall festival And I am just using the new pumkin spice coffee mate to flavor the cake and BC however I have looked high and low on how to shape a pumpkin, I have an idea but a tuorial would be great, if anyone could help! thanks in advance!

I think they do it by putting two bunt cakes end to end on top of each other. The bunts with the grooves or scallops (don't know what to call them) on them.

Sounds like a great plan. If you don't have a bunt pan you could always stack round cakes and just cut off a little at a time to shape (you can always remove more but cannot put it back on!). Put on a crumb coat before the final icing. (poured icing might be a nice look) And use fondant for the stem. You can put fondant leaves on the cake board too. Have fun with it and good luck!

Thank you! I never thought about the bundt pans, that sounds like it may be good! i was thing of stacking 8in 9in 8on, then carving it to look like the pumpkin, im still not sure, but thanks so much for the great ideas! btw it will be covered w/ fondant w/fondant steam and leavs around the bottom

If you look at my pumkin cake, it is two bundt cake pans put together, covered in fondant, and shaded with petal dust.
