Every fall my family and I host a bean soup/halloween party. (My mom makes soup from scratch in a big black kettle over the fire, yum.) Anyway, I have always wanted to make fresh apple donuts for the party. Do any of you have an idea for a glaze to drizzle over the donuts? I found a recipe that sounds really yummy and fairly uncomplicated, but I'd really like something to top them. Thanks in advance!!

btw, I hope I put this in the right forum, since it's not a cake thing, lol!!

Happy baking!

Fresh apple donuts - as in with cinnamon and nutmeg? Is the apple in the filling, or in the dough?

I ask because if it is in the filling, almond goes well with apple, as in French Apple Pie.

Or you could use a basic white donut icing, then add a toasted almond streusel topping over that.

If it is plain apple, you could make a cinnamon glaze to go over the donuts.

The apple is in the dough and my mouth is already watering thanks to your ideas, lol. Thanks so much! I love the cinnamon glaze idea!
