How about purchasing some horse n cow figurines (plastic ones from the toy section would be ok) and then have green frosting and maybe some purple frosting mountains in the background and place the toys on the cake like they were in a pasture. Or if you can draw animals how about drawing those one the cake.

If it were me I might do some cows and horses in chocolate transfers put on lollipop sticks so they could stand up on the cake. Make the cake green with some grass and have them grazing or something.
