to help you remember the amount of cake batter for each pan without having to look it up every time you use it.
I write in permanent black marker on the outside of each pan the amount of batter needed, it doesn't come in contact with the cake, it stays on through dishwashing and you don't need to dig out a chart every time. This is especially helpful if you only use a pan occasionally. ![]()
