No...we haven't spoken with him. I don't care to. We were just trying to pretend he didn't even exist until this happened. My mom has lived in the same house for 35 years now. If he wanted to get in touch with her, it would be easy for him. He has 3 kids, but only 1 has remained in touch with him. Interestingly enough, she regularly e-mails my mom and hasn't mentioned the lottery winning. Go figure!
As to what he did with all the money....who knows? He lived a pretty nice lifestyle...trips...country club...golf. My grandmother's money all went to paying his debts. I'm sure he'd socked away a lot of cash from the business, knowing he was going to declare bankruptcy and disappear.
My anger is fading. Right now we have to focus all our energy on my sister. I have to believe that there is some price he is going to pay for everything he's done in his life.
