Has anyone ever done this successfully. I need to make a Supergirl emblem and I think it is best done using the FBCT method. The customer wants my fresh whipped cream frosting on the cake. Can I put the FBCT on this? TIA

Yeah, I can see that. Now I'm concerned too! Maybe rolling some fondant thin and doing it on there and then laying it on the cake? I sure hope someone answers!
I'm sorry I don't know the answer but I was wondering how much you can decorate with your fresh whipped cream frosting? Are you able to pipe with it? How do you smooth it?
What do you add to the whipped cream to keep it stable?

I use fresh heavy cream with a little sugar and vanilla extract. It is 36% butterfat and whips up pretty thick. I can get the top of my cake pretty smooth. I usually pipe the sides with my 1M tip, like stripes. You can ice the sides smooth and use a fairly large tip to pipe a border. I have never had a customer complain that the whipped cream did not hold up, and a couple of people have even frozen left over cake and tell me it defrosted just fine.
I did the FBCT on Rich's Bettercreme which is a non dairy whipped topping and it worked before.
i put fbct's on Pastry Pride, a non-dairy whipped topping. i use a buttercream for the fbct because it takes color better. i tried a transfer with Pastry Pride before and the colors bled, so i haven't done it since.
Did you use an all crisco buttercream? Or one with butter in it? The all crisco one didn't bleed the colors but the one with butter did.
actually, when i used an all crisco buttercream (whipped cream buttercream), my black outline bled a little. but i've never had problems with the half butter/half crisco recipe. my main concerns when using a fbct on pastry pride is that the moisture from PP might cause some bleeding. but it usually turns out okay.
The FBCT will do fine on whipped cream frosting for about 24 hours. I thought the frosting started to "soften" and show signs of "melting" the next day. How about using the whipped cream frosting for the transfer? (I've never tried this.) It certainly can be frozen.
