My daughter is doing a lighthouse project for her 3rd grade class and she asked me if I would be able to make her a cake to take in with her report... okay, I was very flattered and now I really want to do it!!! I need some advice on how to do it... please help.. I would like to make it look like the lighthouse she is doing her report on, got that photo, now, I just need some advice on how to shape it, etc... anyone, please... this would so make my little one very happy! She always says... "Mom, I don't think that you know how to make a bad looking or tasting cake... " Now, I want to make her happy! I only have about a week to get this done, anything that you can do to help would be wonderful, please
I hope this picture can help you get some idea.Good luck to you!http://www.lindyscakes.co.uk/lighthouse.jpg
that is awesome... any ideas on how it was done???
I have no idea. But I'd get the smallest round pan I could get and put a few layers and then sculpt it out of it.Or better yet maybe you could get one of those tube pans(it looks like an extra long soup can) and just stand the cake up after its baked.I hope you post the picture of it if you manage to get it done.
Here is the link I found for one of those pans I tought you may be able to use for something like that. http://www.kitchenkrafts.com/product.asp?pn=BP1555
