Hi,
I bought the Wilton silicone muffin holder/baker, thinking that I could use them to make cupcakes. The cakes are small, and the Wilton cupcake liners are too big for the holders. I've always made full size cakes, and now my DD wants cupcakes. Any suggestions???

Do you mean it's a silicone muffin pan, or the pack of 6 (or 12 or however many) colorful individual silicone muffin cups, where you bake in the cups and the cups also act as the liner (but then they're not disposable of course)??

If it's the muffin pan, I've read here that Wilton cupcake liners are slightly different in size than other cupcake liners (although it's surely weird that they would be a different size their own muffin pan!)... So perhaps a different brand of liner would work...or maybe nut cups?

Sorry I know I'm not much help but I'm hoping that some clarification may help some others help you out! Until then, you might consider just baking the cupakes w/o liners and placing them into liners after they've cooled...? (Just so your DD can have her cupcakes!)

They are the individual cups. I did try baking them, and then putting them in the paper liners, but the liners were still too big. (or the cakes were too small)So, I went out and bought the Jumbo cupcake pans and the Jumbo liners, and it worked beautifully!!! I did buy some regular non-Wilton cupcake liners to use with the silicone at a later date. The only problem that I have now is that I made Devil's food cupcakes with the cream filling, and the kids won't quit begging to sample. lol

Ah yes I see - I can't imagine why those things are a different size although I am thinking their intention is for you to serve the cupcakes in the colorful silicone liners so they didn't bother to make them the same size as a normal cupcake (which is still poor planning on their part). Hope those non-wilton ones fit for you, and hey I love devil's food, can I have a sample too? icon_biggrin.gif
