I personal do not eat cake or icing so i don't taste it before i put it on the cake i use the same recipes but i know a lot of people tell me that the bc is to sweet i use the Wilton one some but not very often i use this recipe
1 1/3 hi-ratio
1/2 cup water or milk
1table spoon powered butter
1 tablespoon stay-ice
teaspoon flavoring
8 cups powered sugar
I need a great not so sweet bc recipe could anyone help?????
you should try one of the italian or swiss meringue buttercream recipes. They aren't that sweet, or at least you can adjust the sweetness.
