Has anyone taking baking classes? I would like to take a baking class to increase my baking skills. But I don't want to actually take a college course, any suggestions?

Thanks! icon_smile.gif

The only thing I can tell you is check your local school system to see if they have any adult education classes. Sometimes they offer food classes. Or you could check with a local bakery to see if they offer any type of classes. Sorry I can't be of any more help.

Are there any community education courses offered where you live? They offer them in my area for anything from auto mechanincs, caning chairs, learning a language to cooking.

Where do you live? In the San Francisco area we have the Ca. Culinary Academy where you can take weekend classes. Of course there is always the Wilton Courses through Michael's which are very good and very affordable. Check your local yellow pages too. And report back and share what you find! Best of luck, bake on!

definitely check out your local community colleges. Ours has a food program but on weeknights and weekends they offer a lot of classes that are anywhere from 1-3 weeks and 2-4 hrs each night. Check out their schedule every semester as ours seems to have different classes every semester and what time of year depends on what they offer. Usually the classes are pretty reasonable also!
