I am going to make this maltese puppy cake this weekend and I am just wondering if I should use 2 or 3 inch pans? Does it matter? any suggestions? Also for dog people...would I make the tail go up on the back for a maltese?

I don't know the answer to your pan question but here's a picture of a live maltese terrier, showing the tail.

Doesn't he/she look so proud!

Good luck with the cake.....

Yep--the tail on a maltese kind of curls up all the time. Good luck, I can't wait to see the finished product!

I think the size of pan just depends on how big you want the cake to be. I saw it done with 2 cupcakes on here once (cant find the thread right now) so i gave it a try. My neighbor liked it so much i made her a big one using 2 8inch pans. turned out great. I wish I had my digital camera fixed I would have posted a picture. HTH icon_biggrin.gif
