I just ordered cake pans from Lloyd Industries. Has anyone ever done business with them. I searched the forums and didn't find anything. Their prices are very reasonable but I won't know about the quality until my shipment arrives. Their list of clientel is impressive.

I've never dealt with them, but let me tell you what I read on their website -

Their pans are 16 gauge metal. Not bad, but Magic Line is 14 gauge. The lower the gauge number, the thicker the metal. The thicker the metal, the less chance of warping (due to heat expansion), and better heat distribution - less chance of hot spots in the pan.

Still better than Wilton.

The prices are pretty good. Their shipping fees are minimal compared to some other online pan companies, and they offer a percentage discount for large orders (over $500).

I saw something there that I am interested in. I think I will be doing some business with them in the near future. Definitely put them into my faves.

hmm.. .I was looking around their site and saw that theire 2" round and square pan sets are 14ga.

I haven't heard of them... but it seems like they have a pretty reputable business with some large clients so they must be doing something right.

let us know how you like their pans when you get them.

Okay, that is weird. I just went on there and only checked on the round, square, and rectangle pans. The round were 16ga, and the square and rectangle are 14ga.

Their prices seem very good, and you can even buy lids for the pans!!! I use mine for lemon bars, brownies, etc., so that is a big plus for me.

this is an update.

I got my pans earlier this week, Monday or Tuesday. They are nice heavy pans, good quality. They transmit heat evenly. I wish they had arrived sooner, but then I am impatient. They were shipped all the way from WA sate to Fl, so it is a looong way. The price is the best I've seen anywhere for pans and shipping.

I think they are my new first source for pans that I don't need the next day!
