If I wanted a tan/light brown fondant, what colors would I mix. I tried just a little bit a brown and it looked more like flesh color, a tried a little more on another batch and it was just brown. Would I mix a little yellow?
The other question, will MMF stick to BC? I need to make a shipping crate, but instead of trying to cover the whole thing in fondant, I thought I would do buttercream and then cut out and add the wood looking panels. Do any of you think that will be okay?

I cannot help you with the color question, I would have just said add a little bit of brown, but you did that already! icon_lol.gif

Yes MMF will stick to BC. In my 4th of July cake, http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=765023 , I used MMF on BC, and it stayed just fine.

On one site I found it said to use
5 parts eggs yellow to 3 parts chocolate brown to get tan.

Another site said to add a small amt of black to orange to get a light tan.
HTH.
I typed in tan mixing chart in the google toolbar.
