What an idiot!!!
I have been spending weeks planning my hubby's cake and decided to do a large sheet cake with a half football on top using the wilton sports pan. I made a plan using the pan measurements.. all I needed was a pan!!
Ordered a new sheet pan 12 x 18 from sugar shack (they are soooo quick) it came today!!! AND..... The pan doesn't fit in my oven!!!!
LOL... luckily I have acces to a larger oven.. but what a fool I am!!!
Please tell me someone else has been as daft as me!!!!

I did that years ago when I lived at home. I bought a nice 12X18 sheet cake pan with nice strap handles on each end. Mom had a smaller than standard size wall oven that was not deep enough to handle this pan. We spent the next hour or so sawing the strap handle off one side and flattening the other one with a hammer. I still have that pan but luckily the oven is long gone.
