I haven't tried it but I've got it in my head that it wouldn't adhere. Since chocolate is pretty oily I assume it would pool together in droplets instead of adhereing as it does on fondant.

Anyone have any experience with this? I don't really want to make a batch of modeling chocolate to test me theory.

Thanks for any comments!!

They do it on Ace of cakes. I don't have any practical experience with it but....

You can -- just go easy. Because it's got more fat, modeling chocolate won't absorb the color as readily as other mediums. But if you keep a light touch, you can lay some airbrush color on.

Thanks so much for the info! I ran out of fondant and got a last minute cake order. It's either modeling chocolate, rolled buttercream or MMF. I haven't had any luck at all with MMF lately so It's either the MC or RB and they are both pretty oily and fatty. Wish me luck because I need to airbush black!

Thanks again,
Krissy
