My husbands brother and his wife celebrated their first anniversary in June. However, about a week before the event, my BIL accidentally unplugged the freezer that held their cake! A couple of days later they noticed a horrid smell and discovered what happened. Of course my SIL was pretty upset so I told my MIL that I could try and make a small replica if she could give me a pic. We were at the wedding last year but that was one of 3 weddings so I couldn't remember the details except that it tasted terrible!
Anyway, here we are 2 months later and every time my MIL would see me she'd say, 'Oh, I have got to get you that picture!' I finally asked my BIL and he took a picture of the picture and emailed it. I could have waited until I could get my hands on an actual photo but I went ahead and did the best I could based on what he sent.
AND I finally got square corners! I used the tutorial on here and did a crumb coat first.
AND that is a chocolate clay calla lily. My first try making this flower, not perfect but I liked how it turned out.
AND the cake is chocolate with raspberry bc-SIL said that was her favorite flavor from the original.

Here's what I made:

I think you did a really nice job! The corners look great and the cake is very pretty. They will be really happy. That was a nice gesture!
