I have a question and it may have been asked before. Can you freeze sugar cookie cut outs with the rolled buttercream? Or would it be better to make the cookies ahead of time and freeze, then decorate when needed? My boss has asked me to do some cookie bouquets for company Christmas party and I would like to get a head start so I am not completely frazzled when the party gets here. TIA for your help.

I have successfully frozen sugar cookies with fondant. I layered them seperately in a box with parchment, and stacked them until the box was full. When I was ready to use, I took the box out and seperated the cookies on a large sheet and covered with saran until they were thawed completely, they may be a little moist on top, but they will dry. I then finished the decorating. They came out real well. I did 100, 5", they were a monogram cookie, when they were dry I printed them, let them dry and bagged and tied them.

Thank you Cupcake for letting me know. I was wandering if I had stumped everyone with this question because I wasn't seeing any posts. thumbs_up.gif I appreciate the help.
