If anyone has a photo of a cake they made using RK Treats as part of the design, would you please share and/or offer any advice?

Do you coat the treats with BC before covering wih fondant?

Thanks!

Hey... if you check out my 2 elmo cakes and the beaker cake, both the elmos and the beaker are made from RKT.

For the elmos, they are covered in buttercream fur and the beaker is just covered in fondant. I didn't use any icing between the fondant and RKT, just a little water, but I think next time I would of ground up my Rice Krispies before making it so that it is smoother and the bumps don't show through the fondant.

the lid to the two treasure chests in my pics are r.k......the head and feet to the dragon cake......the mushroom on the fairy cake....also parts of the slot machine cake ... I'm going to be making a cake for next weekend with a penguin on top of an ice cube and the penguin will be made out of them...I use them all the time.....what I do is crush the rice krispies a little, and then add just melted marshmallows, no butter this way they set up harder and because the r.k. are crushed they hold together better and make things more sturdy but they still taste the same!! I frost them with bc adn then cover in fondant.......make sure you have a nice layer of bc so the texture of the r.k. doesn't show through ........if you're not covering in fondant this is especially important to have a good amount of bc!
