I've got the recipe printed and am going to stop home for a few ingredients I'm missing, but I need to know if it's a good cake for stacking. It's only two layers though, if that makes a difference.

Thanks.

It works well for stacking. I just made a 4 tier wedding cake that was WASC (2 layers per tier) and it worked just fine.

Yeah, I'm so happy!

cmyoung5 - WASC stands for White Almond Sour Cream. It's my first time trying it out. The recipe is in the recipe section here on this site. It gets alot of rave reviews, so I'm excited to try something other than a box cake.

It's the white almond sour cream cake...mmmmm!

Yes for stacking! I did 2 torted and filled layers (so 3 layers of filling) with the 15" petal pan and nothing sagged.

It can be frozen successfully - I froze a previous weeding cake with it filled and crumb-coated.

It is also super moist, but still works great for stacking (did a 3 tier cake with 4 layers for each tier!
