Hi All I am making a guitar cake and I need to make chrome and gold accents. I cannot for the life of me fine metallic icing colors. I have done dark metallic gray by coloring fondant and working luster dust into it the technique worked pretty well but it was a dark color. I need to make light colors that look like metal, and I am at a loss. Any suggestions would be most appreciated

I've never seen any metalic colors; I think you will need to paint the accent pieces with a mixture of vodka and dust.

Nu Silver luster dust works very well for a chrome look. Just paint your fondant pieces with the dust mixed with alcohol or extract. Moonstone is also a good color-but it is a little darker than you want. Mixed with Brilliant Silver it's perfect though.
