Hi - I have to do a football field cake for next weekend, and was wondering how y'all woudl make the goalposts. I've thought of plain lollipop sticks, or making them out of fondant with the sticks pushed into them for stability. with fondant. Any suggestions will be welcome. Thanks - PAT

I used regular drinking straws wrapped in fondant for something similar. Worked great!

I made mine from royal icing. You can see the pic in my photos or in the other post you started about squiggly lines!

thanks, friends - I ended up making them out of lollipop sticks, and, other than the fact that the hot glue left some globs at the crosspieces, they weren't too bad. Good ideas from each of you - thanks...PAT
