I'll have to add orange something to the mix, should I use French vanilla or vanilla?

Sorry I don't have an answer for you.

I'd love to know if anyone has a suggestion for Creamsicle flavoring!!

Do you mean for an orange cake?

I love this recipe:

I always get tons of compliments and re-orders.

I actually prefer this filling, though:
1 pkg vanilla pudding mix
8 oz cream cheese
1 c milk
8 oz Cool Whip

Macsmom, that sounds delicious. Can you taste the yogart (you know that sour taste) in this cake? You said the filling you perfer is better than the one in the recipe? What would you suggest as a icing?

I used similar recipe only used Orange Yogurt! Man, it was soooo good!! And no, there was no 'sour' taste to it. Also, Jello put out a new Passion Fruit that has Orange in it...besides their regular 'orange'. I tried this with the orange yogurt (just regular Dreamsickle Orange or Orange Yoplait) -- To die for!

HTH !!

If you are not in a rush (as in baking today or tomorrow), you can order flavor drops from Capella and they have an orange creamsicle flavoring. Here is their website:

....sorry, outside picking beans!! icon_confused.gif Not making a cake! icon_cry.gif

TROPICAL FUSION -- its jello -- full sugar. I put it in the Orange-flavored cake I was making, along with the Dreamsickle Yoplait yogurt, eggs, butter, dried orange peel. (Didn't have any orange syrup or extract...)

It was sooo tasty good!! icon_eek.gif And this cake is one of my donated school fundraiser cakes!!!
